Quadriceps, It's a love/hate thing when trying to grow those bad boys. Before we fill you in on our favorite 3 exercises to building massive quads, some might question "what are quads, anyway?"
Your quadriceps, or quads, are a group of muscles located on the front of your thighs. The quads consist of the vastus intermedius, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, and rectus femoris muscles. Maintaining strong quads can help prevent knee pain and injury particularly among women.
Strengthening quads is particularly important to athletes who put a lot of wear and tear on these muscles. By strengthening the quadriceps, athletes not only reduce the risk of injuries to those muscles, they also reduce the risk of other muscles like the hamstrings.
Here are 3 exercises to help you build massive quads!
Remember to always warm-up with dynamic stretching to help prevent injuries and also just as important to follow up your quad workout with static stretching to help with cool down and to also help prevent post injuries in your quads.
We hope these exercises will help you reach your goals and don't forget to tell us how they helped.
